Biotech is a topic which we all came to know on the back of last year’s global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccine which quite rapidly was developed due to the long-term work put down in the years prior to the pandemic.

But biotech is also central in the global megatrend of changing demographics and increase in global life expectancy. The trend of increasingly age-related diseases such as dementia, but also cancer and cardiovascular diseases, has caused an increased demand for treatments – and interest in the biotech sector as investment area.
